Goffredo Puccetti is a graphic designer and visual communications consultant. His area of expertise is in corporate identity and branding. His main research interests are in accessible designa and the interactions of visual communications with policy and decision-making processes. Prior to joining NYUAD in 2011, he worked in Italy, UK and France. Puccetti is a partner of the design consultancy Graines d'Octets, based in Fontainebleau, France; and Humus Design based in Rome, Italy. He has been the first faculty of Visual Design at NYU Abu Dhabi where he has designed eight courses on topics such as Cross-cultural design, Calligraphy and Type design, Brand identity, Wayfidning. Puccetti collaborates with Roberto Casati (Institut Nicod, Paris) on Mangrovia-Collective.org, an online design watch. In 2016 he led a team of students of NYU Abu Dhabi to an open terrace of the Burj Khalifa at 707 mt. to film an instructional time-lapse video of the building’s shadow to show the earth rotation. He is the recipient of a Wolda–World of Logos–Award of Excellence 2017 for ArabWIC Visual Identity; and Wolda Silver Medal 2018 for the Visual Identity of Emirates Nature WWF UAE.
