Vice President - Commercial and Business Development, KIZAD
Mr Edwin Lammers is the Vice President for Commercial and Business Development at Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), the region’s fastest growing manufacturing, industrial and logistics hub. He leads the commercial team on further developing KIZAD’s 410 km2 industrial, commercial and free zone land, which is strategically located adjacent to Khalifa Port. In addition, he focuses on driving foreign direct investment to KIZAD’s wide portfolio of investments in sectors that include aluminium, packaging, engineered metals, port logistics and warehousing, food processing, pharmaceuticals and polymer conversions.
Mr Lammers joins Abu Dhabi Ports with over 20 years’ experience in logistics, commercial and operational management, maritime logistics, and port and free zone development across the GCC and Europe. Prior to his new role, he held the position of Corporate Development Manager at Florencis Investment Group in the Netherlands where he managed a EUR400 million shareholder portfolio by operating the day-to-day logistics, business strategies, operation optimisations and reporting schemes.
Mr Lammers previously worked at Port of Rotterdam as the Director of Breakbulk where he was responsible for developing the breakbulk segment, ensuring superior infrastructure handling with the world-class stevedores in Rotterdam and highlighting the optimal connectivity of the port to the European hinterland. In addition, Mr Lammers spent six years at Sohar Industrial Port in Oman, with many successful endeavours that include elevating the port’s development to second place in a two-year period.
Mr Lammers holds a bachelor’s degree in International Marketing from the Hogeschool Zeeland University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
