First published more than 40 years ago, Al Ittihad, meaning “united” in Arabic, was the first Arabic broadsheet daily newspaper in the UAE. The paper has a daily circulation of 90,000 copies and was the first UAE newspaper available online.Since its launch in October 1969, the publication has recorded the political, social and economic developments in the Emirates, from the birth of the federation to the economic boom of present times.
